Not sure if this is where I should leave this but here it is.
Over the last month, at some point my ping shot up to over 130, from about mid 80's....I know....not a huge leap but still, when you get used to a certain ping....you know. I am getting fraged like you would not believe. Well you probly do believe it, heck it's probly some of you doin it!...lol

Is there anything I can do for this?

Is there a West Coast equivilent to mutant and railz?? lol

Same here. My ping went from 120's to 140. It's not much, but it's enough to have me make to lower my screen res. to as low as possible to have a bit of smoothness. Even then I'm missing most shots and getting fragged like hell.

i havent played for a couple of months and my ping is now 100... It use to be 55-60, any server changes recently??

On windows, run cmd.exe

At the DOS prompt, type: tracert tastyspleen.net

Then click the icon in the upper left corner of the window to get an Edit menu, to Mark and Copy the text so you can paste it here.

Hmm... That's really strange... bd.fd.5746.static.theplanet.com and te7-1.dsr01.dllstx3.theplanet.com appear to be less than a millisecond away from tastyspleen. So I have no idea why there's a 40 msec gap between those nodes on your traceroute.

It would be nice to know where c1.fd.5746.static.theplanet.com and c6.fd.5746.static.theplanet.com are located... Unfortunately the geoip data for all of theplanet nodes seems to just say "Houston, TX."

Hmm... I'm not sure how to get a clearer picture of what's going on. A few things don't seem to make sense...

be interesting to see what the return path runs out like as well - we get players upset at connections here in .au but there's sfa you can do about routing best of times other than approach isp complain approach isp & complain & add some complaining to the mix
