Shiyit, it's frozen down here in Georgia. Can't even begin to consider growing any "outdo'" until the first part of April at the earliest.

Heh, that would suck. It'd probably end up being something worse that the permit for automatic weapons where the law can come into your house at any time WITHOUT a warrant. I bet the cost of the permit would be outrageous too. Might as well stick to doing it without. On one hand, I doubt California would pass that seeing as how the current governor is a staunch republican. On the other hand... they are going broke and could sure use all the additional revenue. In the end, they'd play the same game they're doing now. It's always more profitable to keep it illegal and collect fines from illegal possession offenders. They could legalize it completely and collect taxes from it like tobacco and alcohol, but too many people would grow it themselves and not pay the taxes. Kinda like they can't tax you for growing vegetables for your own consumption. I'm pretty sure they can't tax you for growing your own tobacco for your personal consumption.

We live in a free country though. Go USA.

If I'm still around this summer, I am. Hopefully we'll have a nice 2 month period of 100+ degree rainless days with 100% humidity too. I'll have to water the shit out of everything, but the hotter it is, the heartier stuff tends to grow. My soil should be a lot better this year. To much acid in the soil was making my tomatoes grow a little faster than they should and was causing them to split before they fully ripened. The roma and cherry tomatoes seem to do fine, but the larger varieties end up splitting too much. Last year I had a really bad problem with horn worms and squash bugs. Probably only gonna do half a row of okra and use the other half for tobacco. I want some homegrown hand rolled natural leaf wrapped cigars.

I started about 15 butternut squash seedlings, but only planted 6. Of those 6, only one survived. Probably a good thing, I planted about 12 last year and still have a huge basket full of butternut squash that I still haven't used. I've probably used 2 of them total since harvesting them all, hehe. Anyway, this is the butternut squash vine.

These are my clusters of cucumber vines. I've already harvested quite a few from them. If I remember correctly, they are Marketmore 76, also started from seed.

These are my zucchini and yellow crookneck squash bushes. Some are doing a lot better than others for some weird reason. Yes, all these are from seed too. Everything in my garden is from seed.

Here's a closeup of one of the zucchinis as its growing.

This is my tomato and bell pepper plot. I have 20 individual tomato plants: 9 Roma, 3 Parks Whopper, 2 Sweet 100, 2 Beefmaster, 2 Bonnie Original, and 2 Mountain Pride (heirloom). I have pinestraw covering the ground around the tomato plants to hold moisture into the soil better. Makes weeding a bit of a pain in the ass, but I end up having to water them a lot less frequently. Some of these tomato plants are reaching 5+ feet tall.

Here are the bell pepper plants on the end of the row.

This is my plot of orka. I transplanted seedlings out to this loaction in mid-spring, but they were not hardened off properly and 90% of them died. In late-spring I sowed seeds directly into the soil since it was warm enough to promote positive germination. I haven't watered them as frequently as I should, otherwise they would probably be 5 times taller by now.

Here's some of the goodies I've harvest from my garden this past weekend.

oh hell yeah! that butternut squash looks awsome! I made some at work today. roasted em and made a honey butter glaze with cinnamon and nutmeg. best ever!

Just ordered some Midewiwan Sacred Tobacco seed myself. I've never attempted growing 'backy before, so I'll be learning as I go. I had a really good year last year with the veggies. I'll try to get around to posting some pictures.

That time of year.

Have a ton of tomato plants started, cherry 100's, endless summer, and a variety grab bag of seeds.
Mixed em all together as seedlings, so I can't tell em apart anymore. Guess it'll be a surprise

All are 4-7 inches tall at the moment. Hope they are on schedule. Haven't researched anything.

Ton of jalapeno seedlings going too, about 3 inches tall.

2 sweet bell pepper plants, keeping up with the jalepeno.

Sunflowers galore, wish everything came up that easy. Half dozen of mixed variety, and a dozen moonwalker.

Started Squash, corn, green beans, and 12 sweet peppers ALL CRAPPED OUT!

Well, I got the two pepper plants. One squash plant too, but what good will that do?

Too late to start some more peppers and squash? Still have some beans too.

Sweat a gallon tilling a 2x10 section along the house, gonna do some more beds and get some of these in the ground this week.

Pics to come, need to pull them off my phone.
