Released friday? Half of the guys at my office had it yesterday! 

So far it looks stable, boots surprisingly fast, works splendidly even as a developer machine, and has scaled back most of the bloated user friendly menus that make Vista completely un-usable.

The interface is a merging of Mac 10 and Windows 2000. The new useless interface features are cool looking without subtracting from functionality or being (in Vista's case) the single and only feature that the new OS provides.

So if the final version is anything like the beta version, w2k fans rejoice. But don't hold your breath. I told everyone to make a list of all of the features of Windows 7 that work properly and submit them as bugs. Microsoft will be sure to make them stop working upon release.

most stupid saying ever: "best version of windows ever".  What else would they say? "Our previous versions are better, but buy this one!".

Win7 may/may not be the next one for me.  I'd like to see what the improvements over 2k/XP are first.  Not the stupid fluffy stuff they said why Vista was better then XP, but things I'd really use, like "fixing" the file sorting, using multiple pointing devices, etc.
