This is not the q2dm1 map, it is catodm1 and I did not see this pak
imo this is another client for Quake 2

The actual "pak" in use there is nothing special. Probably just the often-rebundled Quake2Evolved/Quake2Max tex_q2dm.pak. The client is adding those halos to the lights; that's not something a pak file can provide. If I had to guess, I would say it's perhaps Quake2 XP.

It's the Bersker@Q2 client, google it. P.S, you will need a fast computer with a good GFX card.

Quake2 Beserker not worth the 400mb download and the 200mb worth of updates! thanks anyway fellas and im still waiting on those quake 3 sound pak is there anyway of creating a sound that identifies when u hit the opponent like in quake 3 the beep?

Look if you're really desperate about that, just open up Q3's Pak0 and extract and rename the sounds so they fit into Q2.

there is no way without coding to match the q3 beep on opponent damage... it's been discussed
unless maybe you added it into all player damage and health hit sounds,
but that would be for every body in the level, not just the person you yourself hit.
I personally use the q3 beep for when a blaster round hits a wall

Hitsounds are on the suggestion list for OTDM, but opinions are mixed as to whether or not to actually include them.

Not that I'm all in favor of making q2 into q3 at every turn...
but having people to work on things like this is amazing.
if it were voteable, like not having the play command or fast wep switch,.. whats to debate?
