Maybe this v_rail is something you can use, it's from my bluepak. Not highres but just .png for better colors.

That open-ended, awesome, I could get creative

But don't expect much with the circuit part, I'm having trouble finding a good texture for that...

here's a simple one I made for the v_rail a little while back:

nothing custom, but the blue circuit goes nicely with a stock or white & blue railtrail
(It's just a recolored stock one, not high res)

I've already remade mine several times, but the color quality is completely ruined when it's run in q2

you should try a .tga format, and possibly making the skin the color you're shooting for then darkening until it looks right in the game before you make the final version.

I noticed that the q2 engine makes the skins look quite a bit brighter in-game than they do in the editor.
