Easily one of the better console shooter games I've played as far as the campaign goes....and since im guessing atleast one other person has played and beaten the game here i gotta ask...wtf was with all the things in the story that were not resolved??Any ideas on the lambent guys, the queen, the last message from Adam Fenix, and the test facility with the A.I.????None of this shit was explained at the end of the game which obviously leads to the htoughts of gears of war 3...but im hopeing someone picked up on something I didn't and can help explain some of it

My speculation.

Marcus will find out that his dad was involved in grotesque hybridization experiments with locust/human DNA. The sires will be ID'd as the first subjects that needed to be contained where the more successful ones were taken to the mountain hollow where one was found by the locust and became queen.

There are a few holes but without them there will be no suprise twists in GOW3. I just hope the next Carmine will be a complete badass that puts Cole to shame.

Its a pretty good FPS for a console, just wish the matchmaking was better and that the shotty was consistent from the hip.
other than that, no complaints

Also any1 wanna port some Gears 2 maps to Q2? been havin some ideas about it, sounds like a cool idea too

Gridlock, Canals, ah hell all of the original GOW maps would make good RA maps.

I'm not a big console FPS guy, but this was really fun in coop.

From my understanding talking to Gears of War fans is that this game would be exactly the same without any plot what-so-ever and that the only plot that exists so far is a set up for jokes and humorous video game plot cliches. For example, to poke fun at Saving Private Ryan, there is a NPC in the game who has several brothers. The makers of the game promise to kill off one of his brothers  in more and more embarrassing ways every single time they release a gears of war.

Sigma...my biggest question however was why would Adam Fenix be distraught at the flooding of the locust hive as we find out he is in the last message you hear. I personally thought mid game that when they decided to sink Jacinto that it was not wise, considering the enitre first part of the game you are trying to do all you can to save Jacinto...however it seemed that there was some other reason that Adam Fenix was upset by the action.

And the way that just about nothing was mentioned about the lambent locust at all kind of upset me. I understand they want to make more games but even the first Halo gave a LOT more information about the flood than did GoW2 give about the lambent.


BTW it seems to GoW is really going down VERY similar paths to that of the halo story line

Just replayed the game's final scenes and I have come to the conclusion that the sound clip of Adam Fenix is from when he was working on the test subjects at the hidden facility. There is also mention throught the collectibles that there is possibly another human sanctuary. One that is classified and potentially across the planet.

This may be the scene for the next GOW but with the lambent being the main antagonists. What will be interesting is how the Lambent Horde can absorb the essence of their fallen. Sppoky
