Like others have said, if you just wanna play online DM, then download the demo, then the full 3.20 patch and you're all set.  Both of those are legal downloads I believe.

Was that a later release with one of the missionpacks or something?  My CD was 3.05 or 3.12 I think.

yeah, if you have both mission packs installed I think it upgrades you to 3.20 or something close to it.
