i probably have a 1% chance of ever winning in duel against you
in a duel league, the group stage or round robin would consist of multiple groups in which each player in the group would play every other player in the group and gain points based on their performance.once they've played everyone in their group, the 2 or 3 highest scores in each group would advance to the next stage and be placed in a small double elim bracket. The lower scores would be out at this point. This would allow people to play at the very least, 5 different people instead of having the possiblility of being knocked out after playing only 2 opponents, like you'd see in a full double elim situation. It allows for a player who's beaten enough people to advance to the winner bracket final, even if they have lost a matchup against one player during the tourney.http://q2scene.net/nadl/index.php?ids=60024You can kinda see how it works at the link above (NADL season 1)The only differences will be that the groups will be based on skill level this time around, where last time I think they were pretty random. (everyone in my group was waaay out of my league)Check out some of the demos too, and how the winners bracket proceeded.(check the stats if you want a good laugh at me for having the lowest stats of anyone who showed for every one of their matches)
