How come no one plays CTF?

ACME CTF @ www.acmectf.com is the most popular NA server. They even run small tourneys.

Anticheat is required and files are enforced so any custom models may need removing if you want to play there, or just post on their forums with whatever models you want to use and I'm sure they will get added after being checked out.

I managed to address my AC issues and play a couple of games with the guys on ACME CTF, today. I just forgot to set r1g1 as the video renderer.

It's a real shame that I can't use bright skins on their servers. On quite a lot of maps it's hard to see players on the red team, since there's abundant amount of textures in Q2 that are rustic and use earth tones.

Woah, when did all this tight security start going on over there? I haven't been on that server in a while, but back when I was a regular bright skins were common. I remember starting a thread over there talking about how silly the concept of bright skins is. As well as Worm is at running the servers, I've never accused him of being good at drawing in new users. I'm not going to start now.

He seems pretty restrict. Basically it seems like any advantage that cheaters could exploit, even if small, he'll block at the expense of the non-cheaters. I imagine the community over there must be pretty tight, since there's not as many players over there as TS, and yet TS is more lenient with it's AC requirements.

I can't complain too much since I like playing there, however though, playing on stock Q2 is not fun.

We don't restrict skins at ACME, plenty of players use bright skins. Mainly, we check models and sounds.

And, yes, we are a small community and our focus is on CTF play in a few variations. Tasty does a wonderful job on DM so we stay out of that arena.

Peewee....I would appreciate it if you would stop spreading misinformation about our community. I know you left us in a huff and apparently have a personal vendetta against me but that is no reason to continue the attacks and lies I've heard about. Let it go.

Yeah I think it has something to do with how the server is setup... but yeah, CTF was always fun with some good teams, 4v4 6v6 even 8v8 sometimes. I'd play.
