The trap explosion seems to deal about the same damage as a rail hit.

A small amount of armour or extra health and generally you will survive.  I think the balance is good.

if you can just suicide in the trap, what is the diference?
just use ammo?

I mean the explode kill you anyways..

The current explosion is (was) tuned to reward players for having picked up extra health / armor bonuses.

Figured, if you get stuck in a trap, but you have WEAPONS and AMMO and HEALTH/ARMOR, then, you can shoot your way out if it.

IF you are missing, health, or armor, or weapons/ammo, then, it takes forever to shoot out with the blaster, and... if you do kill it, you will be in trouble if missing health (meaning, rather, players who have health are rewarded.)

Basically was the idea, reward the strong players by being able to kill the trap and survive it... weak players better wait out the 30 secs.

would be cool to destroy the trap and not to die in a TEAM SEVER. so you can save your allies... but idk.. [/color]

I had made the radius 200 with the idea of damaging other players who were nearby the trap when it exploded.

I'm not sure if 200 is enough, though.  It was just a guess.
