some Q2 issues

Spike, are you running Linux? If so just flip the write bit to off on the map the first time you dload it and it should be ok after that. For some reason q2 seems to want to write to the maps from time to time..... Guess that would work under winders too?

Yeah i have XP and i dont have any problems either, i run in a window at 1024 x 768 resolution, and like M^T i run like 50 other windows in the background and have no problem with my mouse...

 :shock:  :shock:  Wow! You mean you can run winders with stuff in the background and *still* play quake? Wow! U must have some hoss of a machine....  :wink:  :wink:

Hmm hoss is not what I'd use to describe it ..but Its not to shabby for an E-machine. Its a 2.3 GHZ 512mb ddr ram.No graphics card as of yet.But she runs quake like a champ, only using 75-90 percent of my processor.Celeron it is yuk, but it does the job till I can build my Master Machine .
Its gonna be 4.0 Ghz...1026 ram....fastest front bus I can find and 100gb.With a radeon graphics card probly.It wont be ready for about 4-5 months though gotta buy some more parts.

No im an xp user, but i still have problems with a few of the maps. especially koth1 as mentioned b4 hand. Don't really know why but eh...oh well. I will however try to set the map to read-only or something and see if that does anything though...thx for the info.

are you sure you're looking at the right map? i've got maps all over the place with plenty of duplicates... anyone know how to fix that?

Im not sure about this but I think if you want to play the map you must have a copy of it in whatever mod {folder} you are playing so therefore I think the copy problem cant be fixed.
