How sure can you really be? I was on DM a few months back and this guy came on claiming he was iR joe. He said he had actually become homeless for a period of time and was not able to get on the net, but had moved to a new place. He seemed to know past history of when me and him used to play on irtdm with vae. That was back when i was still in iR. Dunno but he seemed to know a lot of things only the real iR joe would know

None of us give a damn about what if's. What we do give a damn about is the fact that this nobody has an IP and location that doesn't even REMOTELY match the one the real |iR|Joe had, nor did he even have an inkling of an idea to connect names like Joe and Poopoppa and Nincompoop together until someone ELSE blurted it out, nor does he have any fucking clue how to play this game at the same level that real Joe would've... cuz he's NOT Joe and he's just some random newbie trying to be clever. Does it need to be explained? Have you ever seen one single competent Q2 player (like the real Joe was) change rigs and/or IP's and magically fucking forget how to play? Even downgrading from a good mouse to a shitty one doesn't account for someone forgetting how to aim the same way that they used to and move the same way that they used to. Not to mention... the real Joe never had a high opinion of me. He wouldn't come back after all this time and pick ME of all people to be overly polite and friendly to and compliment me on anything. He'd say hello to a few other people before stooping to extending any such courtesy to me. He'd also be asking about several other players he used to regularly play with. Is he? Nope. And I won't even bother asking him to name any such people as a way to possibly confirm his identity, because it would be a waste of time. He wouldn't do it. And if he did, he'd still give the wrong answers, and I'd still be just as sure about him as I am right now.

So ALL of the signs indicate that he's full of shit, and NONE of the signs indicate anything else. You people are welcome to debate it and argue it all you want, but you're wrong, period.

Thing is... I'm fine. No problems here. This guy didn't piss me off. Don't really care that he wants to get his jollies by pretending to be some inactive member of the Q2 clan I'm in. If it's a just a joke or something for him and he wants people to wonder who he really is (obviously by his choice of "MRE" aka Mister E aka mystery for his name... get it yet?), that's fine, I don't care. People are fucking douchebags and weirdos, I'm used to it. Mister comedian can laugh it up all he wants. But any decent comedian knows there's such a thing as "timing". And it's time to find a new joke. He's been telling this one far too long, and I already know how it ends. Give it a rest already. What does kinda piss me off is that others who are not him felt the need to butt in and weigh in on this when there's a million other threads of more importance around here they could've responded to. The intention was say it and be done with it, not explain it to 40 people who aren't involved in any way. We could talk about movies we saw. We could talk about politics.
