Double decker pontoon's are cool. They ain't built for speed or anything and I imagine they handle like a lead Cadillac, so water skiing is probably out, but you can fish and party off em.

LOL, I just sold the summer home. That's where the money is coming from for this. Couldn't handle 2 money pits. I do need to look into the maintenance costs for the boat.

I happen to be lucky enough to have a job that requires time on the water in all sizes of boats - mostly freshwater though, from the Mighty Mississippi River to small rivers, lakes  and backwater sloughs. Air-boats are cool and will take you places no regular boat can, but are HIGH dollar up front and costly to maintain....plus there is no reverse.    The big water (saltwater/ deep water/offshore) stuff is out of my element as a captain. But I have learned one thing about boats in 20+ years..... they are money pits, ESPECIALLY when you let them sit. Boats need regular use or you're going to put money down a rat hole. If you have an abundance of places near you to use them and enjoy fishing and such, you're more likely to get your money's worth. Ethanol gas is you're enemy. Use Seafoam (sp?) and run the motor often. Motorcycles are for people more brave or crazier than me. Too many chances to encounter idiots in vehicles, dogs, deer, etc. A car? Are you kidding me? Nothing more than a means to drive one place to another or say " Hey look what I'm driving". Investing in the the corrupt stock market? Kiss your money goodbye.
