I'm not sure what you're trying to say.  Certainly having the option of showing both players POV is good thing, and you can't do that from current demos on the site.

you cant see the other persons pov when playing :) you have to get all your information from your own pov through sound cues and map knowledge, and you have to learn how to accurately judge how much damage you have done as well

you dont have the convenience of switching pov's to see which weapons and what kinda stack your opponent has when your playing a match :) and that is not how good players think... taking the easy street like that to find out how the other party is doing is now how you get better

that's true, you can't switch POV in game, but that doesn't directly translate to instructional videos.  It is something to keep in mind though.  The idea is to keep the options open for making videos.

look up the quakeworld 1v1 self comentary videos by phil on youtube :) he says everything that gos through his mind while hes playing 1v1 in qw, owns me in one of em :/

Vae.....   has a valid point.   Switching views is great for highlight reels and such, 

but for teaching strat and awareness,  the what and why from one pov is what you are teaching.

I'd like to at the least have the option to switch the view, for many reasons, even entertainment purposes.  It sounds like it will be x10 easier to just work with a recorded demo created from xfire avi exporting though.  Do you know if I can keygrip two demos together and export it to avi format with a q2 client?

just avi export both demos and piece them together in a video editing program, you can also put in your own audio doing that and encode the vid better for a smaller file size

having both pov's is good for teaching strat for the simple fact you can see where someone made mistakes and how their enemy capitalized on it....also good for learning sound cues...I remember me and my brother used to lan and we spent some time making sounds and taking turns guessing where the other was...very good practice for undestanding and using sound cues.

I got decent at rage by playing people that know how to play it right, a lot. Practicing it VERY fast paced helps you get better at it I think... a lot of people sneak around and camp this map too much and it's like they don't know the timing and how of when to drastically pick up the pace so you can take control and spawn rape... like choosing to camp RA when you're stacked and your opponent spawns in rail room. It doesn't matter if RA is about to spawn in a lot of cases, if he runs away and RA is about to respawn near him you know exactly where he's going and you can get there quick. I use this mind-game all the time... i'd much rather have my opponent running away with RA / blaster than have a good wep, or any weapon at all. it's just an example though..... i'm not even too great at the map compared to several people in NA. a lot of it is just habitual from experience with always dueling people like dahang, deft, or whoever on the map. It's the most fun map too :)
