btw, I went undefeated as hpb on ogl, beating people named r1msh0t, revelation, cloud7, eturnil, and other top tier players. The only official match I remember losing to a hpb was one upset vs ni-ux on cgn.net, but even nick will tell you that I would beat him on west coast servers back then.

i'm sorry krez lets see.... how much money did u make playing quake ? ya thats what i thought....nothing. I won 100$ from the mplayer.com intensity q2 1v1 open tournament. I won the da bomb tourney on heat.net for 3,000$ team play tournament. q1 1v1 hpb champion of the heat.net raid tourney, pocketed another 100$. I placed in the intensity chair ten.net tournament for 100$. not to mention ogl open 1v1, 2v2, 4v4 hpb and open ladders. Longest standing #1 place on cgn.net til it died. Your right tho, i stopped playing competitely in 2001 and appear from time to time since then. So once again how much money did you make playing quake?

hmm... after this I think the last old skewlers left are me gyn and acid. b1ood those players you listed are new school to me. I also have a much better list of people I beat consistantly as hpb than both you and krez. Don't make me flood the forums with old ass demos of elite lpbs being owned by a 28.8k luci. no one wants to see old demos from 10 years ago.

Okay i'll bite...

hey now demon, dirvish, etc don't be bashing on GYN. He is the #1 critic on quake demos. The anaylisis he makes on quake demos is usually spot on. I tend to watch only demos GYN applauds. He has never let me done once on an entertaining demo. People should just take his summarys of demos as constructive. Anyways just for demon, why would GYN be considered a self-inflated player? I don't think I ever once heard GYN say he was the best or say he would own anyone. As far as knowledge goes, ya gotta give it up to the GYN. He probably has seen close to 100,000 demos by now. I'm sure he knows a lot more about this game than most anyone. Although if he stopped watching demos and playing more, maybe then I would be learning off some GYN demos.

a quick response. Is it impossible to get illegal drugs in any major city? No. If guns were outlawed would it be possible to get them in every major city? Yes. So lets think if we ban guns, only criminals will get them. This would also make the gun market's economy go through the roof. I have a concealed weapons permit in 4 states and I have been thoughouly trained on the proper uses of many firearms. When have I ever shot my weapons? Besides in the military, only at the range. I was givening a class on the proper way to shoot a pistol and rifle. Competitive shooting is a hobby of mine. Responsibility comes with firearms and it seems only the people that have not been trained in the proper technices do stupid things with firearms. Go to a shooting range. I feel exteremly safe there because no one there does anything unsafe. Now go find the punk that got a gun on the street. I feel worried that he may hurt me or someone else. If I have my weapon with me, I know I will take him down extremely fast neutralizing the threat. If you ban guns, that person will still have a gun, and I won't. Meaning the threat is much greater.

match 1 was a remake of dm4 from q1. In q1 dm4 was a great dueling map that was extemely fast paced. With the slower pace of q2 it makes match1 very one sided.

I don't keep up a lot on quake 2 news, but I ran across this today.  I'm sure everyone has seen this except me, but I found it to be incredibly cool.
