(Elysium here, I'm posting via WallFly since I don't have access to my original forum account and new accounts cannot be created without validation from quadz.)


I'm deeply saddened by the loss of quadz, he embodied so many qualities that I lacked in myself that it was only natural to look up to him.

The level of commitment he made to this community over the years is immeasurable - not just when it came to the maintaining of the site, forum and servers but the selfless use of his time, help and understanding.

He was one of the most intelligent, generous and forgiving people I've ever known and his example will always be a model for me when it comes to how a person should act and treat others.

My condolences to his family, friends and the Quake 2 community.

Using AC with R1Q2 on Windows 8 / 10 will cause the client to crash.

The q2s R1Q2 installer won't install anticheat.dll if it detects that your operating system is beyond Windows 7 for this reason.

I'll put in a word to have AC forced. 

Twenty names in as many days:   LifeNDeath, WTF?!?, annoyance, Bad Guy, getalife, ffs, dies hard, karnival, 2high, jarman etc.   


Regularly plays (over the last 100 days) but does not use the same name more than a handful of times.

This is not a proper area for furthering this discussion.  I understand you want to post to have your deleted posts seen, but Entropy would be the proper place for threads that you just know will end up there from the beginning.
