dm / DM server could be great, but...
« on: October 05, 2014, 02:31:29 PM »
Would any of you regularly DM players object to removing q2dm4 and q2dm6 from the rotation? I like FFA and would play more often except for the inclusion of these unacceptable maps in the rotation.

I could live with dm6, but dm4 is so so stupid

1v1 and TDM Demos / Response to Adren vs Betty Demo
« on: October 02, 2007, 02:02:05 PM »
Since people delete my posts on their own threads, I must make a new thread to respond:

nothing worth watching really...

No need to state something that was obvious from the names of the players from the demo.

1v1 and TDM Demos / Response to Granny's Challenge
« on: October 20, 2006, 08:30:00 AM »
Since Granny deleted paradisel0st's post, I can only conclude he isn't interested in responses to his post.

So to ensure this stays, I am posting it in a new thread.

I haven't played q2 since August, because I moved, and I am on dialup, and the computer with the modem doesn't have q2, nor is it suitable for q2.

However, I know that you live relatively close to London, ON, Granny, so if you let me know when a good weekend to do it would be, I will bring my computer down and 1v1 you on LAN.

Lose/Accuse/Repeat, the TC mantra.

Watch for the prediction rocket near the end of the game, whereafter Granny says I'm walling.

I had a pretty shitty game, but we still came out on top.

Lose/Accuse/Repeat, the TC mantra.

Interesting Sidenote: Granny asked me to 1v1 after the game, but when I pasted the IP of 187 CHI TDM, since the server we were on was busy, he declined.  What's also interesting to note, is that DaHanG and I were the ONLY two people who had valid anticheats during this game.  (played on tourney2, running the r1q2 anticheat system)

I was bored this morning, and so I've made this, hopefully someone here finds it useful.  Instead of having a bunch of keys for FPS selection, rolling the mouse wheel increments or decrements your cl_maxfps.  I've used the values Kingsize suggests, but if you follow the format you can easily add more choices, or change the values.

// jump.cfg
set cl_maxfps 120
bind mwheeldown fps90
bind mwheelup "echo FPS already set to 120!!"
alias fps31 "set cl_maxfps 31 ; echo FPS: 31 ; bind mwheelup fps66 ; bind mwheeldown echo FPS already set to 31!"
alias fps66 "set cl_maxfps 66 ; echo FPS: 66 ; bind mwheelup fps90 ; bind mwheeldown fps31"
alias fps90 "set cl_maxfps 90 ; echo FPS: 90 ; bind mwheelup fps120 ; bind mwheeldown fps66"
alias fps120 "set cl_maxfps 120 ; echo FPS: 120 ; bind mwheelup echo FPS already set to 120! ; bind mwheeldown fps90"

1v1 and TDM Demos / ni-ux/DaHanG/DaKe vs [TC]RiDiX/[TC]Dinsum/[TC]Tyr
« on: August 22, 2006, 08:30:33 PM »
Demo is from my POV.

Watch for Dinsum accusing me of cheating acouple times, and at the end of the game, pretty hilarious.

Bot Drop / [TC]Granny posting on this forum, a pathetic joke.

As many of you have no doubt noticed, from the conversation in DaHanG's signature, it's quite obvious that Granny doesn't care about people who wall, in fact he seems to think that almost everyone does (a view him and b100d share, and one I find ridiculous and a pathetic attempt to justify them losing to actual good players)

He mentions b100d as someone who walls, and then two days after making that statement, allows him to join TC.

The fact is: Granny, Dinsum, and B100D DO have something in common: They don't make the grade skillwise, and to justify it to themselves, they make the ridiculous assumption that all 'good' players wall.  And what some of you don't seem to understand, is that THEY THEMSELVES WALL.

I'm tired of seeing the three players mentioned above constantly playing the 'lose/accuse/repeat' cycle over and over.

Grow up, delete your WH (even though you'll never admit to having them), and just play the fucking game.

1v1 and TDM Demos / Renaming of posts PATHETIC AND LAME
« on: July 13, 2006, 05:21:37 AM »
The moderators of this board need to be removed IMMEDIATLY.

The ridiculous idea that they should take it upon themselves to rename threads is unacceptable.

Placing '1v1' or 'TDM' in the title is superfluous, if people need to see exactly what it was, they can watch the demo.

This board is called what, "We're fucking lamers that like to ruin posts?"
No...(Although now it should be) It's called 1v1 and TDM demos, meaning that's what you can expect when you download any attached files.

For example:

From the brilliantly conceived: "A Fearful and Pathetic [TC]Granny flees server from DaHanG", we now have the pathetic abomination:
1vs1 - A Fearful and Pathetic [TC]Granny flees server from DaHanG - q2dm1

It's a sad day for all on this board, hopefully this insanity is rectified.
