Oh and btw you know nothing about in flames. They started out as a thrash metal band with lunar strain, not melodic death metal.

I just re-read some of this thread. In Flames started out as a thrash band? You have to be joking?!?

Yeah suffocation seems to be "in" these days. I think they were pretty average since Pierced from within. But their first albums are classic, not sure if you've heard them. Effigy of the Forgotten is awesome.

Cool, at least you had this page to remember some names.

I just remembered other stats page from before I was even in oBs...must have been around 2000 or something. With even older names. :)

Still can't believe I forgot Kneejerk, Railbait, {oBs}Corn, Jek, JimNasium, glockglock and so many others...

That must have been stats from when I was on internship somewhere as I clearly wasn't playing much at that time. Do you have older stats then these? I think I remember like a stats archive or something on GVN before where some stats from before that were kept.

Anyway yeah I forgot many names. I can't believe it's been that long.

My memory must be bad. I just remembered I posted this message. :P

Anyway I can only speak for me but I just didn't feel like playing q2 anymore. Simple as that. I decided to concentrate on solitaire and freecell, I think I can safely say that I developped great skills at those games.

I just played today for the first time in like a year. I was playing ffa and won a couple games in like 3 minutes or so. I was like damn I didn't loose too much of what I was able to do. Then I saw Defiant and asked him to play a couple duels...Closer game was 14-3 for him or something like that. That's when I noticed I really lost a lot of what I could do and Defiant might have improved as well.

I'm just glad that my skills in ffa still got me the usual you're a bot...made me feel a little better.  :dohdohdoh:

Religion, and the Changing Moral Zeitgeist / Re: Ye Religion Thread
« on: December 07, 2006, 01:59:46 PM »
i am just curious, why must satan be directly responsible for man's greed? why can't people just be bad or greedy without a fictional character thousands of years old influencing them? the way i see it, you either have good reasons to have certain beliefs, or you don't.

Well, for you it doesn't. For me it does. I can't speak for other people.
I could tell you why "I" believe that. I could tell you why I know that. And I could tell you why I feel that.
But that would take several more pages. But in a nut shell, it comes from several reasons/sources. Studying the Bible, studying other sources, studying other Relegions, family teachings, Religious friends, Religious enfluence, but more than anything else, LIFE EXPERIENCES. Everything i've looked at, studies and/or experienced has shown me that both God AND Satan do exists.

Is it that hard to believe that men (as a generalisation of human) can have negative traits that are their own and have nothing to do with an external influence (Satan as you claim)? I think the way people are brought have a more important influence on the development of people and how they act later in life then any negative supernatural influence...

It's not going to give the user a HUGE advantage, but yeah, I'd say that qualifies as a cheat.
