What is going on with the server kicking people out for using too many packets? It's been happening all week. It'll be running fine and then it bogs down and starts disconnecting people. Is anyone aware this is happening?

I recently got back into Quake 2 after about 15 years off. I played primarily on the Velocity.net server back in the day. I am very surprised at the lack of any type of policing on this server. You have people camping everywhere in DM and tonight I saw people working in teams and not killing each other while camping the rail. If no one cares then so be it but I know for a fact it improves the playing experience if there are people in there to regulate camping and other types of abuse of the server. At Velocity we had Mods in there every day to prohibit asshats from ruining the fun. This is just me expressing my 2 cents but I don't think I'm the only one who would appreciate someone policing the gameplay. Again, if the people that run the site don't care then I'll shut up and remain disappointed.

Well, I'm good my friend! I hope you and yours are doing well too. Maybe I'm used to the Velocity server when it was up and running but this server certainly has too many campers and spammers. I'm sure I'm the first to say this lol! I hope whoever is in charge will consider getting rid of quad and the BFG. Just my 2 cents. When there are 14-17 plus players on at the same time, it's not a lot of fun in my opinion. Again though, it's good to see you. I haven't played in at least 15 years and I've already run into a few of the old timers. You can never get too old to play some Quake 2!

Hey Sgt. Dick! Long time no talk! How have you been? I was wondering who we could talk to about having them remove Quad and the BFG? Or at least nerf both? They both seem pointless when you have so many good players. Just a thought!
