When q2 first came out it didn't have any maps designed for ffa or tdm at all. So all the maps played online at first were the single player maps. After awhile online gameplay really started to catch on, so when they released patch 3.13, they included maps dm1-8 in it. To add some maps that were better suited for dm. Then later on, they released 3.15 which changed the physics in the game. So now you were able to do all the jumps and all that that were not possible before. So basically it's a fluke and a coincidence that dm1 ended up being such a great map for jumps.

This is a problem that was introduced I think with an older version that came out maybe a year or so ago and never seemed to have been fixed. I had this same exact problem. No matter if vsync was enabled or disabled. I would always get exactly whatever my refresh rate was at. I've always used Reforce to get my highest refresh rate for every resolution. Ever since I switched to win2k from ME a few years back. So anyways, what I finally figured out the problem was was a certain setting in my display settings. It's been about a year or so since I went from an ATI card to an Nvidia, but the problem if I remember correctly was with ATI card's there's the standard FSAA settings, and then they have the other type of FSAA settings. I don't remember what ATI's name for it is. But since all I ever play is q2, I always just max out everything! So the ATI version of FSAA was what was causing my problem. I had it all the way at 6 on their setting. I simply changed it from the ATI FSAA version to the standard FSAA setting and the problem was fixed! Maybe this is all you did basic to fix your problem.

This is a model I've used for at least the last 5 years or so. It's a nicely done model. The taunts on it are really funny. 1 of the taunt's he'll do is he'll scrath his butt, and then he'll sniff his finger, and then upon smelling said finger, he falls over backwards due to the repungent smell. Video better illustrating this taunt...........

He also runs around with a banana for a gun. When he's just standing still, he'll fondle his banana in kind of a perverted way :)

Umm... anyways I haven't seen this for download anywhere in like a long long time. So if this sound's like something that some of you might be interested in, I'll upload it for you all so that you can download it
