Any update to this? I feel it is important to find out because that means it's no longer safe to play on the servers without someone accessing your client and potentially your entire PC. I have done a full virus scan and nothing came up
Is it possible for someone to access your q2pro client? I was playing with someone named defiant on the server then all of a sudden my client started lagging and taking screenshots on my end

I understand that however if you cared to watch the demo, It was the whole server calling him out and i sat in silence. The only thing i said was i was taking a demo, wasnt sure and would post it. I have been called a cheat many times as well, it never really bothered me and even offered to stream live. Thats another issue i dont know if you noticed but these forums are dead, hardly anyone ever posts here anymore so it may discourage people from taking demos. I may not be a spokeman for the entire tastyspleen servers but at least i post demos.

That,... taken with the fact that Chacal has played on TS servers for probably longer than I've been around here... means that if Chacal was going to get caught cheating, he would've been caught doing it already by multiple someone elses.
Lance armstrong was cheating for the world to see for over a decade before he was caught. He did it in front of everyone. It's a pretty poor piss poor attitude to have to think just because someone has been doing something for a long time they are innocent. Ben Johnson was caught years after the fact for doping, Marion Jones the same the list goes on. over 500,000 gamers world wide were banned in 2024 alone in different games for cheating. What makes you think for a second q2 is exempt? And why is trying to keep the community free of hacking a bad thing? Why rubbish people for keeping a look out over a game? Regardless of weather I am right or wrong, you almost make it sound like a negetive thing people are still looking out for hackers, no matter how old the game is. And I can tell you right now all you have to do is look at the list of people that WERE actually caught hacking like skyline who are free to roam the servers still. People act as though a hacker has never graced the quake2 community cough cough razor cough
Ok so over the years this guys gameplay has been highly suspect. Even people like B100D has called this guy out for blatantly wallhacking (he should know seeing he ran a wallhack clan) Numerous people on the server today calling this guy out. His play does look suspect, and his skill level does not match the frag count. His movement is like a nooby noob all he does is wait around corners. If you look closely he is constantly aiming up as if looking through the walls. its subtle but its there. Attached demo

An Australian made show I guess, set in Australia I think. It's a partly gritty action, partly crime-thriller, partly drama, partly comedy kind of show. It ran for 3 seasons from 2018 to 2021 on FX. It's really good, one of the best shows you probably never heard of. 30 minute episodes, so it's easy to find time to watch.
IMDB synopsis says: Ray Shoesmith is a father, ex-husband, boyfriend, brother and best friend; tough roles to juggle in the modern age. Especially, when you're also a criminal for hire.
My synopsis: It's about a hitman/enforcer for hire, divorced, has shared custody of his 8yr old daughter. Wants to raise his daughter right and be a good role model for her, but still leads a life of crime and violence. It's not really a "comedy", but every so often veers that way when absurd and awkward moments occur. It goes from action to funny to sad and everywhere else in a natural well-written way, interesting characters, good character development. I'm about halfway through the last season now (s03) and so far I'd rate it a 9 out of 10 - one of the best shows I've ever seen. It's so good, it's a shame there's only 3 seasons. But I suppose a good show running too long can be as bad as a bad show. I watched The Walking Dead for all of it's first 9 seasons before I got bored and stopped following it. Just recently got around to finally downloading seasons 10 and 11, the last 2 seasons. Pretty soon I'll start re-watching that show start to finish... and I'm not entirely looking forward to it.
Some of the Aussie accents are a little thick. I can understand 99% of it, but some Americans have trouble understanding some British, Irish, Aussie, or Scottish accents. If this is you, I'd recommend streaming it directly from some paid service that offers english subtitles.
Being Aussie I love this show. Fun Fact there was a movie called "the magician" with the same guy who plays ray shoesmith as a hitman so you can say it was where they got the idea of the show from. The magician was a meh movie but worth the watch. Also the magician movie is referenced in an episode of mr inbetween as seen here
For some reason the in game font looks like dogshit (see photo) it just doesnt look smooth it has this pixilated effect to it. i have the desktop res native and have q2pro res matching. Any ideas?
