Only $100 to lose 3-0 to the great Tim? Say less. (Is this called a Kansas City Shuffle?)

Was wondering if anyone knew of some commands to make quake2 less laggy. The ones i know of are lowering maxfps lowering rate. Any info or suggestions would be helpful. I used to play quake2 with 300 ping back in the day and it was playable, but this just seems extremely laggy. Btw im on r1q2

Quake / Re: Config questoin« on: January 09, 2011, 01:30:44 PM »
Using an alias is pretty straight forward. Before the loc's became common place I used a series of aliases for location commands.
Alias 1 would be RL so anytime the alias rl was used it said Rocket launcher. That would be assigned to the "1" key. Then for example the "2" key might be "ENEMY". "3" key would be IM. "4" Key would be Available. So if you hit the 2,1 combination it would say Enemy at Rocket Launcher. The combination 4,1 would say Rocket Launcher Available and so on and so forth. If i recall the config was made by Mason (Nogame). It could very well still be online somewhere. 7

Trouble Shooting / Dialup and Q2 (problem) Help!« on: July 06, 2009, 11:59:31 AM »
Okay, so I moved to a place where no broadband is available. I am using netzero dialup. My issue is with quake2, it was working fine at first I played for several hours. Now though, as soon as i connect to a server "connect tastyspleen.net:27931" i immediately get disconnected from the internet. It is not a netzero problem, as i have tried it with earthlink as well and it did the exact same thing. I cant think of anything that i have done since it worked to make it stop working except maybe installing drivers for my sound card. Help!
