Hi Lids, I had heard that too. I refuse to spend that kind of money on a ring damnit! That could be better spent on so much other stuff! Especially now that I'm buying a house I am going to need a ride in mower. I was thinking about the same as Sigma as far as a ring is concerned 3.5-4k or so.

Hi Sigma, congratulations! I will be in the same boat too very shortly.  I asked her parents’ permission last Sunday and the question will be asked shortly. I have not bought the ring yet but I have an idea of what to get. We are in the process of buying a house right now so that is taking up some time. As of now we close on July 10th.  We just got back from a vacation for Memorial week on Amelia Island in Florida.  We live in NY but want to be married down there. I have not been around TS in ages and by chance popped in and saw this thread. GL to you and as mentioned money management and good communication are of crucial significance.

Pretty sweet indeed Quads. I'd like to hear him turn down the gain and play cleanly however! I feel that is a better test of one's skills though I have no reason to doubt he'll do well. This is more my speed and what I get all giddy over....

i have just quit school and while that might not sound like much to some of the no life losers here, this is a big thing for me

I hope this is one of those things that we should not take seriously.

Wow, sweet bro, I bet that thing really flies! How is the SLI working for you? I've thought about doing it but truth be told this machine cranks out so much heat through the water towers as is. I don't game that much anymore and only olay Q2 once in a while so a new machine is complete overkill for my current needs. We'll see what happens when Crysis comes out. lol. Enjoy your new machine and she sure looks like beauty!

It's a rainy day here in NY and the GF's working so I fired up the Stereo and have her cranking. Right now I've Pink Floyd's The Wall spinning and I think I'll play some Danny Gatton after that!

Hi ladies, wow, fantastic work you've done there! I've been thinking about getting a tattoo and was wondering if you guys might be able to help me. I want to do something akin to an archtop jazz guitar with smoke or flames rolling off of it. Perhaps even make it have a Salvador Dali type of effect to it or something. I'm a 31 year old Tattoo virgin so I don't know much about the artwork and/or the implementation of it.  I've had a friend draw a rough sketch for me and I'll post it here below. I am also intrigued by this Django Reinhardt shirt I saw as well. You ladies have any ideas?
Kind Regards

Hey ReCycled, you know I love jazz! I was in High School in the early 90s and everyone was listening to Nirvana, Pearl Jam Jane's et al. I was into Cream, Clapton the Stones and the like and started working my way backwards towards their musical icons. This lead me to Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf T-bone Walker and many many others. Somehow all that blues music and guitar playing lead me to Wes Montgomery types of players and eventually I started listening to all kinds of jazz music.  Jazz is life man.
