Quake / Gaming Rigs For Sale, OK To Sell Here?« on: September 30, 2007, 09:11:15 PM »
i have a couple gaming rigs for sale (was a just for fun project), brand new cases/hardware. i built them exclusively for an Ebay sale, but i been holding off on that because of the hacked accounts thing.
was wondering if it's ok to post them here, if so which section of the forum? here's a brief description of both.. Antec 900 Rig: evga 680i SLI (A1) MB, evga 8800GTS 320mb GPU, 2GB (2x1gb) DDR2 800mhz Patriot SLI RAM (SLI Ready), Core 2 Quad - Q6600 CPU, Zalman CNPS9500 CPU Cooler w/Blue LED, LitOn DVD Burner w/lightscribe (SATA), 400gb WD HD (SATA), Kingwin Mach1 700 watt PSU (Modular/Blue LED), Win Vista home Premium (DX10) - Total cost of case and parts, no profit: $1394.00 Gigabyte 3D Aurora 570 Rig: GB GA-P35-DS3P LGA775 ATX-MB, GB 8800GTS 320mb GPU, 2GB (2x1gb) DDR2 800mhz Mushkin RAM (EPP), Core 2 Duo - E6600 CPU, GB G-Power PRO CPU Cooler w/Blue LED, Samsung DVD Burner w/Lighscribe (SATA), 320gb Seagate Barracuda HD (SATA), Rosewill 600watt PSU (2 Blue LED Fans), Win Vista Home Premium (DX10), total cost of case and parts, no profit: $1165.00 My Ebay Title for the Antec 900 was basically: SLI/Overclock ready, meaning that i have not done any overclocking on the mb, cpu or gpu myself, everything is set to factory settings... allowing the buyer to do their own overclocking/tweaks. Same for the GB 3D Aurora 570, everything is factory settings. both rigs run great, have the latest bios/driver updates. Link To Photos... Antec 900: http://entertainment.webshots.com/album/560254221LEUPoa GB 3D Aurora 570: http://entertainment.webshots.com/album/560895181qkQTlK Main Page: http://community.webshots.com/user/wikdgto Shipping Info... (Boxes & Hardware Accessories) The Rigs will most likely ship in the boxes the cases came in, since they have those styrofoam pieces, but will be reinforced and have extra padding, etc. Also, all the parts/accessories (cables/adapters, etc.) that came with the MB, GPU, Pwr Supply, etc will be shipped along inside the box as well (if they fit, if not, they'll be shipped in a separate package at no cost to the buyer. And as far as shipping costs go, i usually take care of that on my end, it's just added to the total price of the item being sold. (I'll have shipping costs soon). also, serial numbers and proof of purchase labels will be included in shipment, invoices as well (for warranty/support purposes). feel free to email me if interested, or for more info: stormguy_03@yahoo.com Thanks, Rob 4

Trouble Shooting / Re: Stuff...« on: July 26, 2007, 05:28:58 PM »I got the new card and it seems to have fixed the problem. Which is a good thing. Now, when I run q2, the game feels very different. I assumed it would, going from an old Radeon 128 to this new 7600 Gforce 512. Q2 was sort of doing that to me on this new HP (m8020n), it would jerk, or seem to skip a frame or something everytime i jumped, or turned, looked around whatever... i had to enable "sync every frame", then it ran perfect. weird, though, never had to use that on any other PC, but if it works it works i guess! 7
Trouble Shooting / Re: Stuff...« on: July 26, 2007, 07:42:05 AM »Many people have been hyping this card for me - I want to spend no more the $150. Any suggestions? i had that card for a little while, then got a 8600gts, just because i got a new HP w/vista, and wanted to take advantage of DX10 games ltr. hope that works out for me! anyway the 7600gs is a excellent card imo, ran everything i could throw at it with np's. pic... the 7600gs vs the 7350le my HP came with... 8
Trouble Shooting / Re: How Do You Disable System Fan, After New Case Fan Install??« on: July 26, 2007, 06:37:22 AM »My suggestion is to leave the system fan alone and just install an additional 1/3rd Horse Power fan that you can get for about $15 at a local HVAC supply store and plug it into a nearby outlet. found a solution to my boot up woes afterall... since i have an empty drive bay in my HP (m8020n), decided to use the enclosure for the 92mm fan i removed from the back. now besides having my system fan reconnected and no more "system failure" msg at boot up, my main HrdDrv gets a little extra cooling. draws in fresh air from the perforated side cover. BTW... don't laugh at that little PSU! it's doing it's job so far, even with running a 8600GTS and all the fans, and system. soon be moving up in that area, just haven't decided on a particular one yet. whatever it'll be, will have the future in mind, SLI, etc. and will most likely be used in an all new case after a short run in this one. pics... Note exhaust fan under the VC, those things actually work! was afraid i'd be wasting $$, but extracts quite a bit of warm air. 9

Trouble Shooting / How Do You Disable System Fan, After New Case Fan Install??« on: July 23, 2007, 12:00:26 AM »
anyone know how to disable the system fan in Windows Vista? (Socket LGA775) i've installed a new case fan that's powered off the PSU, not the MB.
i want to disable it so i don't get that error everytime i boot up: System Has Failed, blah blah blah... (you can just hit F2 to continue on to windows, but it's annoying) i peeked in the bios, but didn't see anything, just rpm speed. thanks, rob 11
