Just wanted to thank Tastyspleen for hosting our contest maps! We appreciate it. 

Map is a blast to play , lotsa fun on that one.

Just curious as to what is incubating in those three chambers. You know the 3 rotating golden  diamond shaped thingies .

Well thank you very much m0n0LiTh0, I'm glad you like it! Those 3 golden diamond shaped thingys are alien eggs. I'm hoping they don't hatch on anyone while playing the map. That would be very dangerous.

I know I'm a little late with this...but we are hosting our 7th Q2 Mapping contest on the Quake 2 Cafe'. If any of you guys would like to join us, here's the link: http://leray.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=7contest

We have a nice group of mappers and judges, but we are mainly looking for more mappers.

We should get some nice new Q2 maps for everyone to frag on.

As an idea, we have a Sunday night gaming session which changes theme every week.  Perhaps the top maps could be played.

That would be great and we would appreciate that! I'm guessing we'll get at least 5 to 8 quality maps. The maps are due in mid August. I'm almost finished with my map and so are a few other mappers. We'll keep you updated.

Made really good progress on it this week. Should be finished with the details soon. Then I'll move on to adding sounds. I think I'll have a beta version within a month. This is a large map and I think you guys will enjoy it.

Here's a pic of my latest map leray35. It's getting there, but I have a long way to go.

This map will be released as a group of maps that are entered in our 7th mapping contest.

I'm working on leray35 right now, which should be ready in about a month, I'm hoping.

If any of you guys are interested in beta testing it for me when the time comes, let me know and I'll set you up.

Thanks for the comments on my map! I will keep this in mind for future maps.

I just got the U8Poo textures loaded and I really like them! I will use them on my next map!

If you can think of any other texture sets, please let me know.

If anyone else has played my map, let me know what you thought of it.

Everyone,
I wanted to let you know that I finished my new map Rebirth (leray34) this week and I uploaded it to your ftp site. This was my first time doing this, so I hope all the files are loaded. Please let me know if anything is missing.

Its medium sized and should be a fun place to frag! It took me less than a month to create this one. I hope you guys enjoy it!

Let me know what you think of it and thanks for hosting my map.

Now I'm on to leray35!

FYI, we did some testing of my new map and everything is going well. I want to test it with the bots for a day or two and it should be ready for release this Monday. I'll post a link here when it's finished. I hope you guys enjoy it!
