L4m3r Demos / Kentucky Fried Cheater..

Guy named 'KFC' playing on OpenServerFFA (93.95.167.4:27912) pretty obvious to me he's botting with low FOV.  I know it's not a TastySpleen server so nothing can be done about it, but I just thought I'd post it anyway, just in case he happens to wonder over on a tasty server

Quake / Re: Q2 Starter error

Well I can and will use R1Q2 over NoCheat OpenGL, as a non hacker/cheater it doesn't really make a difference to me.  I just happen to notice (and how could I not) that Quake 2 Starter crashes when I switch to NoCheat OpenGL.

Quake / Q2 Starter error

So I keep getting a fatal error that closes Quake 2 Starter when I try to switch from R1Q2 to NoCheat OpenGL in the video options, here's the error I get...


Unable to initialize video output! Please check that your video card drivers are installed and up to date and that Quake II is installed properly.  If you continue to get this error, try using R1GL from http://www.r1ch.net/stuff/r1gl/ and ensure your gl_driver is set to 'opengl32' in your autoexec.cfg

The following renderers DLLs failed to load:

ref_ncgl.dll (file not found)
ref_soft.dll (file not found)

Quake / Looking for an Id Software video...

I'm looking for a bonus video that was included in one of the retail Quake sets, could have been Quad Damage, Ultimate Quake, or maybe even Quake III Gold Edition.. or maybe something else.  It was a trilogy video that showed the evolution of quake, starting from quake 1, then 2 and finally 3 (and had some cool music too).  The beginning of the video had a dark Id Software logo followed by a couple flashes of lightning, the end of the video was Q3 Team Arena and had a player collecting all the sculls in harvester mod.

If anybody knows what I'm talking about, please let me know it would be greatly appreciated

How come Tastyspleen doesn't have any Qpong servers?  I use to love that mod!

Quake / high res weapons?

I know you can download mods to make the maps have higher resolution textures, but are there any high res skins available for the gun models?
