I think the icons need to be bigger. At least 600x600 pixels. I'm getting old and my eyesight ain't so good anymore.

I don't know shit about computers but when I see artifacts while playing a computer game, here are some of the first sort of issues that I think about:
-inadequate cooling for GPU -the gpu is becoming defective -driver issues -memory leaks I think you can see some tearing too if your monitor's refresh rate is not synched with your GPU's.
