Had an argument with my mom the other week. She mentioned how Kamala Harris wanted to legalize dope in all 50 states on her first day in office... which shows you where her priorities lie. All the shit she could FIX and she'd #1, pander to all the dopehead voters, and #2, attempt to boost the living shit out of tax revenue rather than rein in the spending and formulate a working BUDGET.

But anyway, my response to my ma was that it would do more INCREASE the crime rate than decrease incarcerations for petty little harmless drug offenses. She mentioned that everyone would start smoking it and "overdose on marijuana"... which made me laugh... and then try my best to educate her that it's basically impossible to overdose on marijuana. You can't smoke enough to kill you. And whether you can eat enough to kill you is debatable. Point being... hallucinogens as a class are not lethal like cocaine, opiates/opioids, and alcohol. To which she replied, "I grew up in the hippie era, acid was everywhere, I know what I'm talking about, you totally CAN overdose from it." To which I responded.... "No... you can't." It's pretty fucked up that so many people from the LSD heyday are STILL so mis-informed about it. Yeah, it can fuck your brain chemistry up permanently if you do it too often under the wrong conditions or if you get ahold of improperly made shit. But I'm pretty sure a person could down an entire shot glass full of liquid LSD and it wouldn't stop their heart or their breathing and kill them.
