To be honest, I don't think he will be expected to get his vision back. His only chance would be the possibility of regenerating stem cells, but we aren't there yet in today's technologies.

At least, that's what my studies in Biology have led to my conclusion to be.

Remember, this is just my guess since I didn't want to pound Dinsum with questions and was able to find out he basically has permanent brain damage. The visual cortex lies in the back of the head, so he must've hit it very hard upon contact.

My biggest fascination is the human brain. And it's capable of amazing things, so to say he may never see again isn't necessarily true, but having clear sight is probably not likely.

For some reason I was under the impression DinSum said he would regain his vision, so I figured that meant naturally (since you can't just predict the technology/science will be available). Maybe he never said that...

I know the post is old but I have not been around for awile ..

Um yea from what I have read is he would of been home in december and Metal made the post about Msn in febuary , If true and he is blind there is no reason why he would not be able to have someone he knows log on his msn and read his messages etc.. to him . If not true then cool but if it is I never really got along with him much but this is sad .

Orange isn't canadian / isn't in regular contact with dinsum i wouldn't think... and all the canadian players of today, and even of the time those quotes were, were after granny/dinsum's time in q2.

So yeah.. i doubt anyone knows how to get a hold of any of them. maybe ryd3l, lol..

Its a real shame what happened. I was hopeful that Granny was able to rebound enough to have a decent quality of life.

I guess we may never know how it has worked out for him.

Eh I'd say one day should he be well enough and on the computer, he will come back around. He seemed to have a genuine love for the game so I would assume he has thought about it. Who knows, he may have even checked the forum already and just didn't want to chime in on everything. Him having the ego he did, he might be embarrassed by the whole ordeal.

Well hello there boys and DaHang, I have returned! Unfortunately for me, and very fortunate for all of you, I am now permanently blind. On the plus side Life isn't so bad I'm retired now, and received a multi-million dollar settlement from the cement truck company. To all who wished me well while I was dying I appreciate the thought and I am sorry I won't be able to nade clown those fools any more for your entertainment.
