i openly hate vibes because hes made such an ass of himself and not once tried hard to make it better for himself.

Not sure it's possible to "openly hate" a community member without drawing attention to yourself and/or pissing someone off.

And what exactly is it vibes does, again?  As I recall, it's something like:

  - measure community memebers by a particular standard of behavior of his own choosing

  - become annoyed with people who consistently fall below that standard of behavior

  - engage in trolling and flaming such people, effectively mirroring their bad behavior, but justifying this lowering of his own standards because they deserve it and/or they started it


And what is it exactly X'tyfe does again?  Exactly the same damn thing!

Many people here engage in the aforementioned "he started it, so my reciprocal response is justified" behavior, to varying degrees. 

"Garbage In, Garbage Out" is the default behavior for a broad cross-section of forums denizens.

However, most don't take it too seriously, and some seem to enjoy trading insults.

I think the difficulty and animosity starts when one person is thinking, "i'm having fun trading insults", and the other is thinking, "my hatred is morally justified!"

Quadz is rare indeed, I could think of plenty of times he could of verbally trashed someone and just drew the line at letting them know how stupid they were being (me a couple times as well).  WWQD????

When I first got here, I was a little freaked out by all of the flaming and over-opinionatedness. I've been a part of other forums where such things were regarded as egregious sins and dealt with swiftly. I've since become... "conditioned" to this social climate. When in Rome... do as the Romans do!
