Actually it is more like dealing with a baby and a dirty diaper, makes a whining sound and smells bad. I don't think it is just the traps that are the problem, exterminader himself does cause problems, quadz himself could lookup exterminaders chat logs and see his actions. although, +ia with only 5 traps should be polled, because +ia with traps, drop one, you get 5 more, isn't really 'goofy fun' at all. it is more like 'run around the corner and get killed cause someone doesn't have enough skill to try and aim a weapon at someone face to face because they aren't man enough to'. I usually sit out or just throw myself into the infinite traps repeatedly until the frag limit is reached. in the case of +ia traps by extermifager, I would call it a 'fag limit' instead. on a side note, it is quite pathetic to sit there for 20 minutes in one spot, repeatedly dropping and picking up traps just to throw them. you'd be surprised how far you can throw a map in xatrix, in xdmp7 you can throw them all the way to the bridge by the RL, and even as far as almost the main arena where the is another trap, all the way from the top area by the red armor. that is pretty much a third of the map. most of the time all +ia traps do is keep people from enjoying the entire map, since people do avoid it. but I've also seen people spawn 5-10x in that area by the red armor, and are surrounded by dozens of traps, having no chance whatsoever to get a weapon, shoot back, or get away. so instead of goofy fun, I could see how some people would get frustrated instead, especially considering that many of the times they choose to be on, exterminader is also on, and the map is +ia either once they connect, or on the next game. I've seen this happen plenty of times in a row. the good of the many out weigh the needs of the few but xtyfe should have just asked for a poll and let that be that, R4WR!I think a poll could pass very easily to kill off +ia traps, but I think instead of getting 5 traps, it should be set to one, maybe two traps. The reasoning behind this is the traps, when picked up and set immediately, take as long to re-spawn a new trap as they do for an already set trap to blow out. so he could pick one up, throw 5, and wait for the trap to respawn to get 5 more, the replace the other traps right before they blow out, still not changing the problem. it only effectively gives him a few less traps to work with, but still enough to blockade a good portion of a map continuously. I mean if it is goofy fun, and everyone enjoys it, and wants to play it, they would have the option to join the +ia xatrix then (which I doubt would happen much). a +ia trap isn't like a +ia chaingun or rocket launcher. you put 2 traps close together and you are 'automatically' dead 99% of the time, with +ia traps you can easily accomplish this.
