Quake3 is not a failure based on servers being empty

Quake3 is a failure because it was a rip off of UT and for ID software who were always innovative and ground breakers, that's just a big joke.

Absolutely true. However Q3 CPMA did bring back some of the Q2 physics and added even more aircontrol, perhaps a bit too much.

taking out the cool jumps in q3, really made it suck

i believe they listened to Thresh's advice on how strafe-jumping took away skill in the game.  it's to bad you can have both skill and cool jumps
