I am a big fan of Crumb, and especially "the bean effext" but I will say that was the furthest thing from my miiind when I drew it.
Any Crumb similarities came from the inker "Major Torque" or "Major Tork" who happi;y did the backgrounds and other effects.
I drew the people doing their thing, he did every-fuggging-thing else.
