And I get 59 fps no problem...only uses 80-90 of cpu too. :p

The most I've _EVER_ seen my computer's CPU usage for Quake 2 is 43%, and that was when it was also doing the processing for _16_ bots! 60 FPS (my monitor refresh rate)

By the way, there is very little point in having vertical sync turned off, that is just pushing your copmuter to use all possible CPU time for Quake2 even though you won't see about 80% of the frames! Some people claim they get faster response time, and they do. If they turned off vertical sync and achieved 120 FPS, even though their monitor could only show 60 a second, they would start seeing halves of frames, like things were cut in half because the monitor got 2 things to show in 1 frame... which looks rather messy to me. I'm sure someone else will know what that's called but I can't remember . It would be AN AMAZING WHOPPING 0.00833 SECONDS FASTER!!

It's really not worth the sacrifice of picture quality and possible-computer-overheatedness / background processes not running right.
