edit: even though I agree q2duel5 is a good 1v1 map the NA community has not taken the time to play it and learn it enough to be apart of a tourney maplist.. yet. try getting others to start playing this map more often and maybe it could become part of the next tourney's map list/poll

Well then we should have a q2dm1 tourney only. If there are no tournaments on other maps people will never learn anything else besides dm1.

I vote eliminate all camping maps, q2dm1 is first in line. Let's see how players can handle quick fire exchange not sitting in one place and spamming.

kai, if the map was brand new i wouldn't see a problem with putting it on a tournaments maplist.. but since its an old map and not well known in the na community, i think putting it on the map list will give an advantage to the players who have heard about it and learned/played on it, which is not what we want in a tournament. thats why i said give it time for other players to learn it and accept it to decide if it should go in a tournament.

Tell me what players from the released list know the map? I'll underline that I have played it once since I came to the US which would mean about 3.5yrs. Plus it seems to me that there is alot of time to practice any map. From my past experience it will take a long long time before anything starts moving with this tournament.

Trully, who cares? The bottom line is if you wanna be part of the tournament you go by the rules. So you are saying that people will not play in the tournament because there is one or more maps they don't know? I don't think so, as far as Q2 goes i think people play to play (not including all the cheaters) because this games community has been dead (don't mistake with braindead) for a long time in NA.

are you not familiar with the current q2 community? and you seem to be the only one who truly wants q2duel5/q2rdm7/(insert map here not important) so i don't see why a tournament should accomodate one player's desires. this is supposed to be fun...who cares. the point of this tournament is for the community to decide the maplist (basically) and run smooth and quick. e-drama not needed.

im the one who actually suggested q2rdm7 as a good non camping map.. but im not asking it to be added to maplist.. well known good maps are the way to go (aka chastity and aero)
