Agreed on the question of dubious practical utility.

that there are some personality types who tend to not "understand or believe in the validity of impersonal judgment", and who "do not like to deal with hard facts and logic."

whatever that's supposed to mean

That may feel completely alien to me, but it's harder to be judgmental upon reflection that there are large numbers of people whose brains are apparently wired that way. (And who nevertheless have many of their own positive traits.)

:exqueezeme:

yea, well any personality can have it's positive traits even if it's a personality that's opposite your own. at least humans have that ability.

INFJs are <snip> highly intuitive individuals.

Whether or not you believe the test is perfect, is a valid question

There is no question of it's "perfection" as a test.

Any test that ever rates 2dum as "highly intuitive", unless it is making a statement relative to the intuitive capacity of inanimate objects, is pure garbage.

The validity of that statement can be determined by reading his post history on this forum and noticing the constant trend of him not actually being able to figure anything out or what anyone means, even when people explain it to him in simple terms and small words.

In case you didn't get that 2dum: I'm saying you're dumber than a rock.

PS:

that there are some personality types who tend to not "understand or believe in the validity of impersonal judgment", and who "do not like to deal with hard facts and logic."

whatever that's supposed to mean

Apparently the shoe fits.

I love these kinda things..

Quote
INTJ
Introvert(56%)  iNtuitive(12%)  Thinking(1%)  Judging(1%)

Mine comes back as the same, but not the same if you look at the percentages.

INTJ
Introvert(33%)  iNtuitive(25%)  Thinking(38%)  Judging(89%)

Makes you wonder how many completely different people can all score the broad definition of INTJ by barely scraping by in a couple areas, while others are strongly a certain way (according to the results) in all areas.

Indeed; in adren's case, we might expect he'd find the descriptions on the INTP, INFJ, and INFP pages have about the same hit/miss rate as those on the INTJ page.

nobody owes you shit, buttfingerer.

I say both should take it and never give you the results just to give you some other stupid thing to cry about every 3 days as if anyone promised you anything.

PS: The last time you grew a testicle and even showed up on a server where I was playing (you were aliased ofc) I stomped you 4:0 and you bitched out shortly after.

INTJ

Introvert(56%)  iNtuitive(12%)  Thinking(25%)  Judging(33%)

I think the important thing on tests like these is to answer how you actually are (and be completely honest), not how you perceive yourself to be, i.e. base the answers you give on how you have actually reacted in that situation, not how you would enjoy reacting in foresight.  When these tests are taken with that goal in mind, they are actually fairly accurate.  It's when the Golgos try to doctor their responses that an untrue statement will produce.

Having said that, the response it gave isn't too far off from where I peg myself anyway.  I know I'm more of an introvert than an extrovert for damn sure.  I don't like being around a bunch of people, but I will be if the occasion calls for it (I wouldn't miss QuakeCon simply for that reason).  What it misses out on for me is it doesn't have a fine-tooth comb of answer choices to choose from, like having a 1 - 5 answer bubbles, 1 being least-agreed with, 5 being most-agreed.  That would help tests like these.

All in all, these aren't completely without merit for sure.  And as always, take it with a grain of salt.  Your response to these tests might peg you as something completely different than what you are; that probably means you just didn't give a shit about taking the test to begin with.  If it gets you somewhere close to where you know you are, then you actually were being fairly honest about your responses.  Either way, your personality can change over time, usually slightly but in some rare instances, drastically.  It all depends on your surroundings and what you end up having to do that can dictate your overall personality.

In closing, I thought I'd peg more an Artist or a Thinker than a Scientist.  Either I wasn't completely honest on every single question, or there's something I don't realize going on in the back of my head.  Fun little test.  ;>

BTW:

Agreed on the question of dubious practical utility.

whatever that's supposed to mean

Scientifically it means some people are congenitally hapless nincompoops who should stay off the internets.

I answered the questions based off 2dum's actions and tried to be unbiased the whole time, someone else should attempt it as well:

ESFP
Extravert(1%)  Sensing(50%)  Feeling(50%)  Perceiving(56)%
You have marginal or no preference of Extraversion over Introversion (1%)
You have moderate preference of Sensing over Intuition (50%)
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (50%)
You have moderate preference of Perceiving over Judging (56%)

The answers to the questions may change due to the situation at the time.
The test may give a general idea, but everyone has a range of how they will react.
Two people with the same code may react totally different in a certain situation.

2Dum, when under stress probably goes for two or three fingers.
