I don't care about the money, since I'm donating and it won't be possible to get a net+ anyway, but it seems rather lopsided towards first place imo. Idc tho.

generally, from my experiences with tournaments, no matter what the game is...first is usually always double second place in value..maybe a 50/25/15/10/5 split?

That's not too bad, but is there even going to be a 4th place though(without forcing the 2 people who tied for 5th on opposite sides of the LB to play a match)?

If your paying down to 5th place and only have 4 teams, I might consider teaming with Golgo.

Shiz, maybe just make it 65/35 only first two payout.

Maybe we should let the euros play? Only on us servers? I'm sure we would get at least a couple more teams. Seems like we will need at least 8 teams to make this work....

if it's run as a weekend cup, getting people from across the pond to show up for the duration would be stupidly difficult.

Yeah.. and I told them both politely and apologized, but it's USA only.. that was weeks ago.

but for real though flesh.... I noticed in ts-live people are complaining about the rules at the same exact time that you did, people who were originally interested in playing...... and these complaints are completely unfounded, the rules are legit and more fair than any alternative(see my explanation a page back), I let people choose the maps, as well... idk what you're telling people but, this entire tournament is COMPLETELY, 100%, BY THE BOOK.

Anyway it's getting kind of ridiculous, sign-ups are open... there was a month for discussions like these to take place. Spread the word about sign-ups being open and we'll all have a great time.

I agree. The euros have been a part of pretty much every NA competition ever. Just let Americans play with their own league. Don't forget that there are also plenty of Euro leagues that don't let other people from other countries play.

(By the way, does that mean adam can't play? :x )

Adam gets a freebie, I had decided on that the minute I said it was usa-only.. but he literally is the ONLY one. He's been more affiliated with this community than eu for like... 7 years. c12 is similar and I'd have liked to have let dan play but, I can't allow him and bjorn yet deny all other euros. I had to draw the line, and it's at adam.

It's a bit of a shame that euros are not allowed :-( Some time ago I was participating with lor in 2v2 tourney here and no one seemed to have a problem with it. I wanted to sign up but I don't even have a partner now so I have two questions:

1. Am I allowed to play?
2. Adam, do you want to partner up with me? (if Im allowed)

Not sure why anyone would think ive been complaining about anything. I just figured that we probably need at least 8 teams to make it a fun tourney. I haven't been talking shiz about the rules. Alot of my questions are probably a result of my inexperience. The rules seem great. It does make sense that more maps will be played this way for example. I've always been bummed that dm1 dominates pick up games, imo, it is the best map but there are many others that are fun and pose different challenges.

Hopefully, some way, we get more teams.

I think it's a bit too early to be worried about a lack of teams. There's a bunch of players who have not signed up yet, such as: fla, adam, nayms team, ma5, fader, vae, other old guys haunted talked to and tdm server regulars. Plus the date for this thing can always be pushed back.
