that's bandwidth though, not latency.
there's not 1000gb cable/dsl net connections eigther. Most max out at 10mb, average is 3-6
cords do sometimes annoy a little in different ways.
nah there is some 'drag' caused by wired mice, and they can get caught/tangled, causing you to stop short.
I don't see how wireless mice are laggy, I've never noticed any type of lag, the reactions are just as instantaneous as wired mice. neither is better or worse for gaming, it all depends on the persons needs.
you're going to have to show some proof of the lag differences between the two to back that up. it isn't like a wireless router that adds so much ping to your link. mice aren't known for being bandwidth hogs either. say your ping is 50ms, and your mouse is 50ms, that doesn't mean you're running like its 100ms ping. as long as your mouse 'latency' is lower than your net latency, you're all good.
I had a 5$ wireless laser mouse before and it never had any problem
your responsiveness might be due to lack of DPI or your driver settings on reports per second which usually aren't set to their highest by default, there are any number of reasons why your mouse feels different than theirs. maybe their mouse speed is set higher or lower.
some people prefer a heavier mouse to steady their movements, some people prefer the opposite (if you're a woman with small hands a wireless mouse will probably feel a little heavy).
if a mouse has 1600dpi, you're getting 1600 dpi. if a mouse only has 200 reports per second, you're only getting just that.
I've never heard of a wireless mouse 'disconnecting', except when you take the batteries out and put them back in you usually need to hit a button on the mouse and receiver to sync them up.
would you prefer your cell phone was corded?
receiver line of sight? there is a distance, there can be possible interference, but there is no line of sight. you can put the receiver behind a 3 inch thick steel/lead plate and it would still receive. (RF)
"Search the web you lazy son of a bitch. " yes, you should
razer is a brand name, while they make good mice, you can get one relatively as good for $20-30 at newegg. anyone dropping more than (or around) $50 on a mouse is a chump.
"Our developers here tend to want the wireless mice"hmm...why is that?
finally quit being so angry, you might live longer
wireless sucks for gaming
it isn't really that inconvenient, especially if you recharge your batteries regularly. it would probably take a week of heavy, nearly all-day usage to run a battery dead. I don't think regular games are that important to smash your mouse over it going dead on you mid-game. if you're playing a tourney then you make sure your mouse is charged. wired and wireless both have their positives and negatives, as I have been saying all along. there are backup batteries and 15 min chargers (which have more uses than just for a mouse) you'd be inconvenienced for all of 10 seconds to 15 minutes once a week or two depending on usage, most likely when you're not even using your computer. it must be the end of the world as we know it. but hey, I feel fine
who are these most people? where are the statistics? heavy means just that, heavy. who said anything about picking up the mouse? a 'heavier' mouse can steady your movements with its weight.
my point is the specs/settings of the wired and wireless mouse may not match, resulting in differences.
now who's talking apples and oranges?
it is as simple as when you spoke of 'cord management'. if you've got a 'cluttered' desk, cord management may become just as annoying.
yes I took a 'legit' and unnecessarily angry comment you made and turned it on you...that's exactly how it happened. it's you against the world isn't it?
well since you're willing to spend to time arguing your case in a furious manner, you could take the time to prove your case in a calm manner.
yes because I don't believe in what you say, I must believe in a god
and exactly how was this illusion created? you don't argue with people at your work...YET you're the one getting all of the expensive wireless mice you loath. you probably don't argue with them because you can't look a person in the eye, face to face when they stand their ground. you're afraid of someone being right or not even caring about buying into your BS, so you come online and call people 'dumb fucks' hiding behind your keyboard, letting off frustrations of the world not being exactly how you want it to be, of people not agreeing with everything you say, of every idea you have being as insignificant as the dog shit on your lawn.
you make wireless mice seem more like a 'fad' or what someone would want only because of form and not function..but that isn't so. you know what they also probably called a fad at one point in time? wireless phones.
if you wanna go into the dumb fuck zone, lets point some things out.."makes it worth wild."that is correctly written as 'worth while'"your reputation certainly perceives you"it should be 'your reputation precedes you'.and don't give me that BS of 'oh I meant to type it like that on purpose because there is a hidden meaning'. -
even more.."Obviously their under the same illusion as you"I'm surprised you spelled illusion correctly, did you have to google it? in any case, it is 'they're and not 'their'. I find it ironic you take the trouble of capitalizing the beginning of sentences, go through the trouble of being unnecessarily angry, but don't take the trouble of using proper grammar in your entire post. who put them under this illusion anyways? is there some wireless mouse gnome beaming wireless mouse advertisements into their heads?
you do realize eventually wired things will become completely wireless? who are you to tell other people that they should only like wired mice? and you can go back to all of my posts here, I haven't shown personal preference over one or the other.
