I didn't even read your posts, but it seems strange that you of all people would be using such a thing. You play duel, so djing should be second nature enough, so that you don't need to compromise your movement just because you feel like playing lazy. Seriously...wtf.

it doesnt hurt my movement at all... movement isnt something i care a whole lot about, i just do it for shits and giggles, any jump i can do with my double jump bind i can do without it, i just like the double jump bind cause i only have to click once

i play tdm, not jump maybe if i was on the jump server with like 6 different binds for different kinds of jumps i could see a problem... but thats not the case

Every good player I can think of has good movement and can jump good (maybe not jump mod), so regardless of your reasoning, you're sounding extremely silly here...

dj scripts, a touchy subject...

I'll begin with my time at Azbok's jumping server (this and wireplay were the two biggest jump servers back years and years ago, with TONS of activity on both of them)..

During my time here I never used one and I ascended to one of the top 5 jumpers on the server (after about a year and a half playing it and ranked by a point system..) Back then wootwoot was #1, n00kie was #2 (usually), and those following were Stalkerkoffie, saix, and myself typically. Tide was awesome but already becoming inactive even by 2002. I did a mix of jumpmod / tdm following in 03-04, then got bored once the jump community started dwindling down(azbok's had 10 people in it at all times seemingly... there was also an "admin tryout server" in which you had to perform specific hard jumps in order to progress to admin levels 1-5. And a 1 month duration in between each tryout(max admin level of 10, but 6-9 was done by azbok, kobaz, or zakabog) I was a 6 (and still am ever since kobaz but the server back up, I believe... even though no one plays on it) There was a !tryout command, and the person that was "trying you out" had to be at least 2 admin levels above you. kbjump was a really cool mod... much better than "jump" mod, imo.

Kind of ran off subject there for a little bit, but when I went over to tdm I became recognized as one of the best jumpers in the mod. in NA it was myself, flarez, daelmun(not na but always playing with us), dinsum, and even granny ... This was in 05-06. Then I didn't play from late 06 to early 07, Picked everything back up as a low pinger for the very first time in 07 / moved in with metaL / got q2 and a config from him. He had recently put a dj alias in his config and I checked it out.... being that I have always jumped with the spacebar and raped everyone at jumping who swear up and down that to be good at jumping you have to use mouse2, using a dj script was noticeably less tiring then hitting the spacebar twice for every DJ. It made me more consistent at some jumps, and less consistent at others. With a dj script, it is easier to sweet spot(more consistently) a dj in which you are looking for optimum height / distance. BUT, it SERIOUSLY hindered my ability to do some djs consistently. the dj off the box to the far light from near backpack and going to mega.... I used to never (can't underline or make that bold enough) miss this, backward or forward. I have gotten so many mega health steals with that jump it's ridiculous, i'm sure some of you remember when I was on dial-up. Now I hit it 1/3 of the time. This would apply to jumps similar to this one as well..

Anyway, I was just giving a little insight on this. Do I think I am a gay cheater for using a dj alias now? No, although I know mine and vae's circumstances aren't similar, I don't think he's a dj script fag either.

well i jump with right click, and i double jump with mouse5... so essentially doing a double jump manually is just double clicking, so thats what happens when i hit my dj bind

still have to do the jump right, i just dont have to click twice

and as far as douchebags jumping scripts... he doesnt actually script them, he made a hack that records input commands, one touch and it sets him in the right direction and it does the jump automatically for him, all he has to do is land it once or have some one else land it once, and i believe he even had a switch to do everything backwards as well... kinda pathetic if you ask me :/ thats going a bit far where i would consider it a cheat

i find it easier, one click jump; hold click 1 sec doublejump.

what i meant with the scripting an entire jump map... is literally doing config scripting for the entire thing XD not just record it lol... cause in theory, you could do a jump map PERFECTLY and find out the absolute best time possible on a map if you were reeeeeaaally good at scripting the whole thing.... i could imagine a short jump map taking 5+ pages for the script though lol would just be something funny XD
