I was kinda drunk when I posted that earlier. I meant that using a catastrophe as a repercussion for a lack of god in government and schools is ridiculous. I can understand saying a public prayer under certain circumstances and at some places, but it's rarely EVER done right. Public prayers are rarely ever non-denominational. I'm not religious, but it still makes me sick whenever I hear a prayer in Jesus's name just because I know all the jews, muslims, etc. are saying "wtf....." It's ignorant, unintelligent, and unprofessional. The vast majority of Christians don't even realize it either. Then many that are aware of it brush it off like it's nothing. Discrimination fitting perfectly into America's social norms as a part of everyone's life is what gives Christians a bad name peewee. Not saying Christians are bad people. There's just a huge percent of Christians who are nice, good people yet let shit like this slide like it's nothing... which is some stupid, ignorant shit.

It's all perfectly logical within the Christian paradigm. God is the maker of all things, all things good that is, but don't stray from the path or God will punish you by bringing calamity upon you - or He might just be a dick, testing you as he did Job, just to see what will happen. Therefore if good things happen to you praise God for blessing you for being righteous. If bad things happen to you blame yourself for not deserving God's blessing and praise God for proving it. By extension, not having God in your government means bad things will happen to your country.

Since the jews were the chosen people of God and the Christians are the true believers in the messiah of the jews they are the chosen people of the true word, therefore all others who do not believe as they do are to be reviled and discriminated against or pitied for their loss. Of course, since Islam is an "extension" of the prophets of Israel and Muhammad is the "last" of the true prophets they get the last word. The Koran, the babblings of a murdering sociopath recorded by followers long after his death, is the logically contradictory law handed down to the tribal bedouin heathens who had no clue about what Judaism or Christianity was all about. But Islam made a fine system for the ruling classes of Khalifs and Imams to govern and subjugate the illiterate masses.

and yet you still hang out here and make jokes that you probably wouldn't make in church, I'd have to say you're probably a Baptist.

Are you taking points from the Dervish Playbook today? Seriously. You're just making things up as you go along. No I am not baptist, and if I somehow claimed that I was "sinless" or "righteous" then I wouldn't need to be a Christian. (but please don't let me preach to you, I accept the fact that you are not interested so I will not push anything on you. That's something that ticks me off about the most pious Christians. Some people are not interested, and all you're doing is a disservice to that person by pushing something on them. Gives us a bad name.)

I'm sure that I have a few off color jokes that I wouldn't tell in Church, but most of my jokes I think I do tell. I'm a big fan of Bill Cosby and I spend a good portion of my time thinking up clean puns. Not because I want to tell them at church, just because shock comedy has little affect on me. Put people like George Carlin up against Groucho Marx, and Groucho will win hands down. Well in my opinion anyway. Humor is subjective.

As for not swearing, I um have kids. So I try to avoid making it a regular practice. Sorry that the reasoning behind it is not as interesting as you imagined.

Whatever, Baptist.

Moving on now...

Why did Hurricane Katrina happen? Why did the Holocaust happen? Why do bad things happen to good people? Why does God call any physically, mentally, or emotionally gratifying thing a sin?

Because God is an asshole. Because God hates you.

END OF DISCUSSION.

I don't worship the devil. Jesus is Lord, friend. He died for your sins. He will forgive you if you just ask.
