Figured I'd resurrect this thread. I cook a lot.

1. Sauteed diced onions to mix into ground chuck with Worcestershire, nutmeg, etc. Onion and mushroom reduced with sherry that I eventually turned into a gravy, sort of a cross between hamburger steak and swedish meatballs.

2. Ribeye

3. Chicken thighs with Adobe, garlic, bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, 2 packs of cherry tomatoes, onions, olive oil, green olives.

4. Braised turkey thighs, carrots, mushrooms, etc

Huge local fresh shrimp from last night.

Shrimp and grits and collards. Little habanero condiment. Froze the rest.

Good gawd, those are some enormous fuckin shrimp.

You don't wanna eat the garbage I've been eating lately, much less look at it. Grilled sandwiches, like yesterday for lunch.

Butter the bread. Then slap a piece of boars head baby swiss on there, a slice of boars head garlic balogna, two slices of boars head honey maple ham, another slice of garlic balogna, then another slice of baby swiss, other piece of heavily buttered bread. 2 of those muddafuckas.

I think I get chest pains after eating it. That's probably bad, right?

It's just sweet potato. Pecans and brown sugar can go good with them, but that one is plain, perhaps some fake butter mashed into it due to my son's dairy allergy. Mine are magically different than at the store though. If I were to do an experiment(similar situations have happened like this) and I over cook a store bought potato and one that I grew, the store bought one would start drying up a bit getting a tighter consistency. Nothing would leak out. Mine would leak out. With one of mine there would be an 8inch diameter puddle of karo syrup like natural sugars leaking out, and the top half of the potato would be dryER, the bottom half would be saturated in the natural syrup. I can literally make candied yams with no ingredients haha.

Speaking of pizza... anybody else remember Ken's Pizza? Dunno how prevalent they were, maybe it was just a southeastern US thing. Quadz, you ever seen any Ken's out Cally-Forny way back in the day? I think the company went tits up in the early or mid 90's, but it looks like there might be two places in OK named Ken's now, not sure if it's in any way associated with the old original Ken's.

House I grew up in was close to Stone Mountain, and the only pizza places around back then were Ken's or Pizza Hut, and anytime my folks got takeout pizza, it was almost always from Ken's.

My folks used to have one or two of the old 80's red jewel plastic 16oz tumbler cups with the Ken's pizza logo on them. I couldn't find any pictures of one on the web though. Perhaps they're rare now, I dunno. Hopefully they're packed up in a box somewhere in the basement and weren't thrown away or sold in a garage sale.

It also got me thinking about an old Pizza Hut X-Men collectors cup I got as a teen. I was into comic books and especially X-Men at the time, and they had a deal where you'd buy a personal pizza and you'd get a XMen cup and special comic book with it. Dunno if I still have the comic book that came with it, but I'm almost certain I still have the cup (minus the red lid). Used to have it as a pencil/pen cup sitting on my desk beside my computer in my room all the way up until I graduated high school.

Unfamiliar with Ken's; though the presentation reminds me a bit of Roundtable (which I enjoyed as a kid; dunno if they're still around, nearby.)
