blocking short cuts

quadz? I don't understand why the admins are resetting times and blocking short cuts. everybody in jumpmod are complaining about the admins blocking certain short cuts. We understand about some of the short cuts that cut the whole map out. and yes they should be block. but some of them are just simple short cuts that shouldn't be block. I'm afraid to finish a map cuz the admins might come in and reset the times. sometimes it's alot of work to finish a map and get a really good time. I don't know if anything can be done about this. I just thought i should bring it to you're attention.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how this should be handled?

I don't want to require admins to contact me or set up a forums poll or whatever, every time they need to fix a map.

It might help to have some concrete examples to work with.  Anyone have a list of mapnames where they can point to a shortcut and say, "this one shouldn't have been blocked." ?

 I personally try not to make any map mods unless a user requests it and/or the map is broken. If this happens, I usually propose a vote to make sure that the majority want this done. This probably isn't the best rule of thumb, since only the users that are online at that time get to make the decision. A recent example was spjump30 (I believe that's the mapname). A user told me about a sc and said that it should be blocked. While on the map I took a vote and it passed. I blocked the sc and reset the times. Other than that, I don't go looking for sc's to block unless they cutoff  the majority of the map.

No it was Dork that started all this,There are 2 maps the same,only 1 has been edited,making the textures alot better.I wanted 1 of the maps fixed,he,or others didn't.so why have 2 maps the same.Just fix 1 of them ffs.

lol kinger dont bring me into this =]. But i think we should just have a couple of the top players and people who arnt known to be noobs help decide about it. Cuz frankly i dont aprove of half the blocks lohm and santh do.

I also don't approve.  Santher is the main culprit.  He obviously has his own set ideas about how each map should be played and edits the maps without warning or consultation.

I will try and get some examples.
