Maybe just your hardware preferences vs mine. FF may work better on your hardware than mine. As long as that works for you, and this works for me, I guess

I don't use firefox. I use IE7.

I find Firefox is execelent besides playing media  always run into problems with that

I really enjoyed the mouse interface in FF. It used all the buttons on my mouse effectively.

Opera is really stable and versatile. Has a built in Torrent client which kinda makes me think it's not the most secure client. (won't recognise uTorrent)

IE is stable and seems to run fairly well but there is just that notion that MS is a swiss cheeser's perfect model. *shrug, I assume I'll eventually get over that and assimilate IE7 into my use.

I don't use Opera's torrent client (though it is nice, albiet basic). You can go into the prefs and switch off the native support, and have them default to utorrent instead.

Nah, I format my pc every few months (for performance), and this happens on multiple PCs.

I've never understood this. The computer I'm on right now hasn't been formated since 2002 and it stays on 24/7. It's used for everything from stock trading and internet orders to forum access, IRC, and playing quake. It's present uptime is 17 days, but 25-40 days is typical.  Just wondering.

well, i find the need to reformat is caused by moving files around, and loading crap, and deleting crap at a high rate.

If you load new games, move files around for any number of reasons, then delete stuff not used anymore to make room for new cuz you have small hard-drives(/me blushes), it can result in a faster need to reformat.  All those listed actions makes for fragmented files structures, and eventually, the loss of a large amount of disk space and sluggish performance.

There is this program called Diskeeper, which has some nice features like 'Set it and forget it'. When configured to your liking it acts like a real time scanner that defrags the parts of your hdd that have become fragmented as well as cleans up needless temp files in the background when you're not doing much and uses very little cpu, unlike the Windows Defrag tool.
