Headphones

 haunted and I both use SONY MDR-NC6's noise canceling hp's.  Not the best by any means but i really like mine, the noise canceling actually works fairly well, probably reducing noise outside by 50%.. which is good because these cover your ears, but dont cover around the ear.. if that makes sense.

I LOVE headphones! Although I can't afford them. I have spent a lot of time and money choosing the right headphones.

My recommendations (under $100) are

1. Koss KSC75 (get em from Radioshack). They sound incredible and are cheap, these cans have an entire cult following them!
2. Grado SR60 (What I am wearing right now). Fantastic sound for under $100.
3. Sennheiser HD497 - Cheap and fantastic for movies, not so great for music and games.

I can highly recommend the KSC75s. In fact, I have 3 pairs of them in case of breakage and the fact that they may discontinue them. (One pair broke so I bought 3 more! They are that good.)

i cant use headphones for gaming
so i have a cheap pair of sony ones, not bad
they get the job done when i need to keep things quiet

just hurts my ears if i use any headphones for too long
guess im just real sensitive to them

i do however, have a sweet 7.1 system instead

there is a MAJOR difference i bought mine for like $80 CDN
and they beat the crap outa my old ones they fell apart within a few months
