uploading skins to server

hello,

i do (in my not so humble opinion) some really fucking good q2 skins...

id like to upload some to the server so people can see them when im playing otherwise theyre sort of pointless,

my question is can i send a .zip of them to someone or something and get them on the vanilla 1 server?

im also willing to make anyone a custom skin, id love to make some money from it, but id probly do it for free.

my newer ones are alot better those are the fist ive done in over five years.

actually i might have,

post screenshot of skin and description of what you want changed

it may take a while as i try to get the colors to not wash out in the shitty q2 engine, which is the hardest part of the process

actually, you can go ahead and use a 24bit png as base
all current engines support them

2, the old one being the original, and the last one being the current
which is basically photoshop+monochrome

im not sure exactly what i want :p something based off my current one
similar, but different should be obvious, but ill say that it should be for the cyborg moddel

hmmm i honestly dont know if i cant top that skin, its really damn good.

was it made specifically for you?

im doing a cyborg skin, but im making it look organic, the tubes and stuff are a growth...

ive never skinned the cyborg before actually...

no not exactly

it was a skin made by one of the top skinners in quake2 back in the day
it as his own clan skin that i sorta stole for my own use

ahhh yeah when i saw it i sort of regretted saying im a badass skinner cause thats better than what i can do...

the quake2 pallet and video modes make anything look shit though...

i wish theyd release an official patch for q2 with improved graphics. they just re released it with quake4, dont see why
they didnt do that.
