Knowing future shop, they probably drove the price up, and then discounted it, lol. I don't think future shop is usually the cheapest place for video cards, but in this particular case, it might be the cheapest.
I checked the prices for the card at a couple local stores in Vancouver, a-power.com sells it for $329, anitec.ca sells it for $345, and atic.ca doesn't even show it on their site.

Atic has been slipping IMO.
They used to be THE place to get anything you would ever need. Went back there and the guys working the 'till were fucking n00bs.
Daemia, good point about post xmas purchases. U think I'll hold off on it.

BEWARE! If it ain't broken don't fix it.
8800 GTX x2 on SLI = Quake 2 runs like shit. (SLI or not still is all fucked up)
7950 GT = Quake 2 runs perfect.
Not only goes for Quake 2. Some games out there just don't like the 8800 cards I guess (aka drivers blow)?

nvidia cards have issues with many many old games. didn't know it was creeping in to ogl though.
All drivers from what I understand.
