Final Fantasy 7

Final Boss on ff7 was cake, by the time I got to em I was always in my 60's and was usually an overkill   Ruby was a much tougher match for me.


Anyway, Krez FF7 is on PS greatest hits list, I'm sure if you went to a game stop or a best buy you could find one--probably for low price too.

Hey punks, dont try and call me on BS.  I say what I say, and back it up with proof.  Im not Luci.  Here is a picture I took w/ my digital camera after I landed the highwind on knights of the round island.  I was just frustrated, and started smashing buttons real fast on my controller and to my amazement, the ship landed.  Im not joking.

BTW for toughest boss - warmech from ff1, or ozma from ff9 was hard.  ff7 ruby weapon was hard too, I didnt have any trouble w/ emerald.

Ok I believe you, although I wasn't lying either when I said I've literally tried that from every angle and with every button I could mash, repeatedly..

that's quite a fortunate glitch, if you can manage to get back on the highwind now with the KOTR in tow..


BTW, I seem to remember that there was some trick to beating ruby weapon that would minimize how often he'd smack a guy out of the fight..


I had to use the mastered final attack + mastered pheonix materia combo to keep my guys alive after Emerald Weapon's "Aire tam storm" attack..
that and I mimed the KOTR on his ass over and over with all of my party, and slapped him with level 4 limit breaks 'till he croaked..

Hardest FF boss in my opinion comes in Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. For those who have probably never heard of it, it's like a kiddy version of FF2 (FF4). It's all linear, and all monsters stand still and you have to engage them on your own. It was basically FF tactics before FF tactics existed.

The interesting thing that happened in this game is that all bosses got harder as you leveled up, like in Ultima 4. So aboult 1/3rd of the way through the game you have to defeat medussa. If you are less than level 15 i think it is, she is really easy. Anything above that level she uses an unblockable petrefy spell 1 in every 3 attacks. (meaning with 2 characters you have 6 rounds to kill her)

Below that is FF2 (FF4) on the moon. Before you reach the final boss almost all battles are treated as boss fights, and all monsters get extreme boss style spells including meteo, and an instant death spell.

I've never bothered with any FF after that because futre vs. fantasy is lame and that's all it is anymore is the best way to use a sword from a rocket motorcycle.

7th Saga was my favorite, especially because it put some serious strategy into RPG's that hadn't been there before. That and the best part of FF1 was choosing your party and square soft stomped on all our dreams by removing that for good. 7th saga put that whole class choosing feature back into the genre to the point which later when you choose your 2nd member you have to literally find them, make sure they like you enough not to kill you, and along the way it's possible to encounter them as foes and they never come back after you kill them.

Ok FFIV on the SNES is the game im talking about with Zeromus as the final boss....cmon someone here hasta have played it and fought him!!!

iv played it, but never made it that far

the only rpg games iv ever finished were ff7, chrono trigger and chrono cross
i get to the last boss, and say "thats it?" and quit haha

or i enter the grind part of the game where i have to something retarded
for example, making rainbow stuff in chrono cross

I played Final Fantasy 4 on the SNES, and killed the final boss.  He wasn't unbeatable.
