thing's i dont like about jump mod

hello, you know i have a few things id like to say about the tastyspleen server for jump mod. i think the admins are taking a few things to far. let me explain a few things that are bothering me and alot of others that play at jump mod server. for one r1 sets commands for flooding the server to 1 and that makes things a little hard to type out things to others like if i was to type something then put a smiley face right after i cant cuz it tells me i cant talk for 10 secs im sorry but that is gay and i know spam can get to ya but set it to 3. so after the 3d spam it tells ya you cant talk for 10 secs, not 1 that's a little to much and 90% of the people that play there take my side in it.  for one more thing that is getting to most the people that play there is... he sets voting a map to 600 secs. what is up with that shit?!?!?!?  iv been playing at that server for over a year now and what him and merc are doing is making people not wanna play at that serer anymore and alot of them like too.  5 mins for voting a map is plenty!! over 10 mins is way to much and you can ask almost anyone that plays there. its just getting really hard to play at that server. and i just want you to know its not just me saying this. you can go ask kingsize or anyone else for all that matter. r1 is taking things to far!!! its not even fun to play there anymore!!! id like you to talk with him or plz do something on this?!?!? would be nice to have fun when I or anyone else plays there.                       thanks!

Thanks for your feedback.

From your post, I got two issues:

  1. Text flood controls are too severe.

  2. Delay before map vote possible should be set back to 300, not 600.


Regarding #1, I set the flood controls that way, as that's how they're set on vanilla. However, I don't mind backing them off a bit.

Regarding #2, I don't see a problem with 300, so I will ask rl to change it back. If you see him before I do, feel free to point him to this thread.  (Hi rl, please set map vote time back to 300. )

r1? i did try talking with you online about it just the other day. you said you were going to take care of it and it never happened!! instead of changing the flood command you made it worse by changing the voting command to 600 secs instead of keeping it at 300secs. I just think you should talk things over with some of the guys that play there instead of when someone says something about what you are doing you just say well if you don't like it don't play here anymore. i mean thats what you said to me and i asked you is that all you have to say and you said yes. so i thought just by that comment you wasn't  going to do anything about it so i took it here.

Just to clarify, I don't think rl has any control over the flood settings.  I set those via rcon.  I changed it a little.  Let me know if it's better...

quadz?? for one i asked r1 at first who set thoses settings. and he said he changed them not anyone else. so maybe someone should be looking at the admins to see what commands they can actually use and cant use!! ill check to see if its better. im sure its alot better then what it was
