What Demo player is best

I use the one that is part of Q2.

I noticed that I can't play the demos from the tourney

First when I started watching demos I got seismovision, but it was so buggy on win98 as it ate up all my resources pretty quick when watching a lot of demos (as I did at the time), so I found out Demoplayer was just as good if not better. It's at least really easy to set up and use, and it runs demos in loops which is the single greatest thing about it. Besides it supports demos in almost any mod, meaning you can watch ra2 demos and ctf demos just the same as you watch reg q2 demos.

Seismovision is nice if you watch demos from a lot of different games though, so if you not only watch q2 demos or have another os than win98 seismovision is probably just as good if not better. Maybe harder to configure, I don't know.

Maybe some demos are recorded with r1q2 though, so you may need to get that in order to watch those demos as they arent compatible with other clients unless they are recorded with cl_protocol 34.
