mirc

I formatted my HD this morning and I'm having problems w/ mirc. I connect to etg + random serv fine, but nothing happens when i type /join #anything. I added mirc to my firewall exception list, any ideas?

and now it's doing this:

* Firewall: Unable to find firewall address

repeatedly, whether my firewall is on or off.

weird. this your home connection i guess, so that would be the only firewalll. you got windows firewall to of course, maybe it's something with that inetd thing mirc still uses?

idk ill check it out, and i'm on college campus ethernet

maybe you had a proxy setup before that you forgot about

type telnet ip 6667  . if it doesn't say failed, or connection refused you can connect to mirc

I am now using besirc and I connect to etg fine, and it's not even on the exceptions list for my firewall.. haha oh well, it works.
